This Dyson Air Purifier Is On Sale And I've Never Wanted Anything More In My Entire Life

A list of things I think are super-sexy, in no particular order: Rihanna. The thigh-high black boots I (stupidly) bought at the end of winter and now can’t wear until next winter. Scraping the last bit of peanut butter from the jar with a rubber spatula.

You’ll notice air purifiers are not on that list—honestly, they normally wouldn’t have even broken my Top 200 Sexy Things (though, IDK, breathing easy seems pretty damn alluring to me).

But damn: This Dyson Pure Cool Link desk purifier’s got me singing “Where Have You Been?” (Is it because it’s on sale for $100 off? Maybe. Don’t @ me—I’m cheap).

First of all: It’s Dyson, so that right there gives it quality cred. (Still lusting over that Supersonic Hair Dryer—HMU, Dyson.) But honestly, that’s the least impressive thing about it.

The desk purifier (yes! desk! it’s so tiny!) has a HEPA filter that “removes gases and 99.97 percent of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns from your home,” according to Target. Do you know how small a micron is? I don’t, but it sounds hella small.

Really though, constantly breathing in those things—pollen, dust, mold spores, pet dander—is just not good.

For even more “make your lung feel better” protection, it’s got a “dense layer of Tris-coated graphite crystals” traps gases like formaldehyde—in case, you know, you’re doing some part-time embalming in your home. (JK—it comes from tobacco smoke too, which…isn’t much better.)

But the best feature—and I don’t use that word lightly—is that it’s basically a robot. The fan itself can actually monitor the air quality in your home, react to it (a.k.a., purify more or less) and then report that info back to you on your Dyson Link App.

Sure, there’s that whole thing about how it’s certified asthma and allergy friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, and how it works equally well in the winter and summer. But also…robot air purifier.

Look: I’m only one person—and honestly, I don’t even own this fan (I just really wish I did, okay?) But these people who reviewed it actually do own it and are very much obsessed:

“Very good, I stopped sneezing in my cats room,” said Sid K.

“I have been wanting a Dyson fan but was not wanting to spend full price. Thanks to the sale Target had, I finally bought one and could not be happier,” said Kathygk.

“Beautiful design, quiet, works flawlessly. The sale price Target offered it at was affordable — well worth it,” said Anna.

Guys…I think your choice is clear.
