Cardi B's Baby on Track to Be as Cool as Her Mom
Cardi B’s baby registry is pretty much as fabulous as she is. TMZ spilled details of the star rapper’s gift requests for the baby girl she and her husband (Migos’ Offset) are expecting. Let’s just say the list isn’t exactly budget-minded — but why should it be if you’re Cardi B?
At the low end, there’s a Béaba Babycook set that will set you back a cool $150. The food processor is a fave of Hollywood elite (Lauren Conrad raves about it). The gadget creates purées and other delicious, healthy meals for wee babes in 15 minutes. Yes, you could probably also manage that with a pot and a cheap-ass potato masher, but this will look way cooler on your kitchen counter in pastel pink. Cardi B knows what’s up.
Also on the list at a higher price point: wheels for her mini-me. No, not a stroller. That’s so basic. Honestly, our entire office wants to race around in the battery-fueled kid-size Bentley Bentaygas (almost $500). We’ll take 20. And get this: You can make your Bentley dreams come true on walmart.com, though currently it’s out of stock. Womp-womp.
Who wants to chip in with us for the Moses bassinet with gold-leaf detailing? It’s just $2,799, plus $839 for the gold bling. Come on. After all, we’re betting Cardi B sends out awesome thank-you cards, hand-delivered by male models dressed as sequined centaurs.
Now, sources are apparently telling TMZ that Cardi B has already received all three of these gifts from her registry at her Atlanta baby shower, which happened over the weekend. Don’t worry, our invite got lost in the mail too. But if you want to send a gift, it sounds like she’s still hankering for some Gucci.
It’s not all fun and games and Gucci for our favorite rapper, though. Cardi B tweeted on Saturday that the shower planning nearly did her in. “Baby shower planning makes me not even wanna do a wedding — soo overwhelming.” (She and Offset married secretly in September.)
And Cardi B’s Wednesday tweet sounded just as stressed out. “I was planning to have 2 babyshowers …One in NY and one in Atl but my doctor told me i can’t fly nomore now i have to fly 60 people to Atlanta I always bragged about having 2 big families until now.”
Hang in there, Cardi B. Soon there will be a Cardi Bae-B to put in that swag bassinet, and you’ll have other stuff to worry about, like her gnawing off the gold leaf or running over the cat with that mini Bentley.
