One tough mama. Pregnant Jessica Simpson was hospitalized for seven days amid her third trimester.

“After a week in the hospital for bronchitis (my fourth time in 2 months), I’m finally home,” Simpson, 38, captioned a picture of herself wearing a surgical mask on Instagram on Sunday, March 3.

“Coughing with Birdie has been a crazy painful journey,” she wrote of battling the sickness while carrying her third child. “I am slowly getting healthier every day. Baby girl was monitored and is doing amazing! I am on my way to healthy and counting down the days to see her sweet smile.”

Simpson, who shares two other children with husband Eric Johnson — daughter Maxwell, 6, and son Ace, 5 — also mocked her swollen feet with an epic post the month prior. “#tenyearchallenge,” she wrote on January 17, sharing side-by-side photos of her toned legs in denim shorts and wedges and a snapshot of her puffed-up ankle and foot.

The musician confirmed her latest bundle of joy’s name, Birdie, at her baby shower in January, captioning multiple Stories from the event with the words “Birdie’s Nest.”
