KFC Is Testing Out a New Cheetos Sandwich and It's Everything We Didn't Know We Needed

As if we needed any more of an excuse to consume our body weight in Cheetos products, the beloved snack brand is back with a finger-licking good collaboration. Beginning January 29 for a limited test run, select KFC menus will welcome a new Cheetos sandwich. Their new partnership only seems natural—and delicious.

Debuting in Greensboro and Raleigh, North Carolina, Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia, and Greenville, Georgia, fans can have their first taste Tuesday when the recipe hits Kentucky Fried Chicken kitchens. The sandwich comes together by coating the hand-breaded Extra Crispy Chicken Filet with their signature Cheetos sauce and topping the toasted bun with mayo and an extra layer of Cheetos. Basically, it’s the ultimate mashup.

“Both KFC and Cheetos have dedicated fan bases loyal to each new creation,” a spokesperson for the chain said in a statement: “It only made sense to merge these two iconic brands together to provide an irresistible and flavorful sandwich that gives the best of both worlds.”

The sandwich, which is actually KFC’s signature Crispy Colonel with a “Cheeto-fied” twist, isn’t the chain’s first foray into special edition dishes. The release of their Chicken and Waffles and Pickle Fried Chicken nearly broke the internet last year, so now we’re just waiting for the Cheetos sandwich to do the same.
