Instagram's Favorite Yoga Brand Just Launched Skin Care

Chances are, you clicked on this article because you're a big fan of Alo Yoga, the California-based activewear brand known for its incredibly comfortable workout clothing and high-quality yoga gear. (If you're a yogi and haven't tried one of its mats yet, what you waiting for?) Now, after nearly 14 years on the market, the brand is making its first foray into the beauty and wellness space with the launch of its brand-new line: the Alo Glow System.

The Glow System is available as of Tuesday, December 8, and features seven skin-care products for both the face and body. The line was inspired by the practice or Ayurveda, an alternative medicine system with deep roots in Indian culture, and is packed with the brand's hero ingredient: amla, a plant known for its skin-care superpowers.

"It's a rich source of vitamin C and a potent antioxidant," explains cosmetic chemist Ginger King. And because it's such a powerful source of antioxidants, when added to skin care, amla becomes a top-notch soothing tool. "It has healing properties to calm and brighten skin," King says.

As mentioned above, the collection contains both face and body products, all of which contain our trusty skin-loving friend amla. First, there's the Enzyme Facial Cleanser ($32), which is also made with aloe to soothe and pineapple enzymes for added brightening benefits.

Then there's the Radiance Serum ($88), a hydrating treatment that features hyaluronic acid to boost moisture in the skin. Next, you have the avocado and marula oil-enriched Luminizing Facial Moisturizer ($48), which sinks into the skin quickly yet still feels super decadent. Despite being so lightweight, it leaves a lovely dewy glow behind.

As for the body, Alo's has four options: the Mega-C Body Wash ($24), which cleanses the skin gently with the brightening properties of vitamin C; the Superfruit Body Lotion ($28), which, in addition to amla, also contains arnica to soothe aching muscles; the Magnesium Reset Spray ($48), a soothing aromatherapy spray; and finally, the Head-to-Toe Glow Oil ($48), which contains calming turmeric and moisturizing marula oil to deeply hydrate dry, distressed skin.

All of the products in the line are vegan, cruelty-free, and made without potentially skin-irritating ingredients such as sulfates, artificial, dyes, and synthetic fragrances. And as of right now, you can officially shop the Alo Glow System, with products ranging from $24 to $88, exclusively on aloyoga.com and in Alo Yoga stores.
