Burger King's Cheesy Tots Are Back, & We're Literally Drooling

Every now and then, a fast-food item so craveable, so savory and so innovative comes out only to disappear a few weeks later, perhaps never to be seen again. Cheesy Tots at Burger King are one such loveable item, and though we’ve been in an extended period of mourning since they were first pulled from menus, we have great news: They’re back!

For a limited time only, you can grab an order of eight Cheesy Tots at your nearest Burger King. As the name would imply, these are crispy nuggets of potato filled with gooey melted cheese, then coated in breadcrumbs and fried until deliciously golden-brown.

Think of them as the younger sibling of the chain’s legendary Mac n’ Cheetos. They’re similarly crispy, savory and cheesy, but your GI tract will feel a little better after powering through a full order than it would with the Mac n’ Cheetos.

This is just the latest in a long string of fun limited-time menu offerings at BK. They have the Nightmare King burger for Halloween and are notorious for items like fiery chicken fries, chicken fries rings and the Angriest Whopper.

That being said, we can totally see Cheesy Tots as a fixture of their menu, so who knows? If we order enough while they’re available, maybe someday, they could be a permanent addition. Now that would make us feel like a true fast-food king (or queen!).
