Chipotle Is Giving Away a YEAR of Free Burritos Next Week
If you were thinking about skipping the Halloween costume this year, you may want to reconsider in the name of cheap(er) Chipotle, and more importantly—the chance to win free burritos for a YEAR. On Wednesday, October 31, from 3 p.m. to close, Chipotle will reward you for showing up in a Halloween costume. Those who come dressed for the occasion can order a burrito, bowl, salad, or tacos for just $4, per a press release. FYI, that’s more than half the price for most of the burritos (a steak burrito is $9.60 in New York City).
If the thought of wearing a Halloween costume in a Chipotle restaurant at 4 p.m. on a Wednesday really bums you out, don’t worry. Chipotle is extending the deal through its app or online (for pickup and delivery), so even the boring costume-less can get a cheap burrito bowl. Just use the code BOORITO.
Ordering your food in person (in a costume) truly may be worth it, though. On Halloween, Chipotle is having a costume contest via Instagram, and in order to enter, you must post a photo of yourself in a costume at a Chipotle restaurant. You can post the photo to your Instagram profile or Story, and make sure you tag @CHIPOTLE.
Chipotle will choose eight finalists and post those photos on its Instagram Story. Chipotle fans will then vote for the “Boorito Champion” by liking their favorite costume’s photo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time on November 1. The winner will have the best year of their life—a year of free burritos from Chipotle. The lucky winner will be announced at approximately 6 p.m. Eastern time on November 1 by Chipotle’s Instagram account.
The free burritos for a year consist of 52 Free Burrito Cards (up to a value of $10 each card) that can be redeemed at any participating Chipotle restaurant. If that’s not incentive to get REAL creative with your costume this year, I don’t know what is.
