Bindi Irwin's Throwback Photo Comparison Proves Grace Warrior Is Her Mama's Twin — In More Ways Than One

Grace Warrior got it from her mama — and not just her button nose, blonde hair, and squishy cheeks! Bindi Irwin shared the most adorable throwback photo of herself in comparison to a recent photo of her daughter, and aside from their strikingly similar facial features, the Irwin gals have another undeniably similar trait.

In a heartwarming Instagram Reel, Irwin shared a photo of herself holding Grace as a newborn. She captioned the photo of herself gazing at her baby, “Holding my newborn daughter wondering if she’ll love wildlife like I did growing up.”

The video transitions to another photo, this one of Irwin as a toddler. She’s seen leaning on a tortoise, resting her head in one hand with her other arm draped across the animal’s shell — it’s absolutely as adorable as it sounds.

The video then transitions to a final photo, this one of 2-year-old Grace. The little girl not only looks nearly identical to her mom at the same age, but she’s also leaning against a tortoise and wearing the same content expression as the look her mama wore in the same setting all those years before her.

Dressed in the cutest mauve sweater, light linen pants, and chunky trainers, Grace is seen standing next to a tortoise, bent over at the waist, arms hanging toward her feet, with nothing but the side of her face resting against the reptile’s shell. It’s as comical as it is cute, but it’s mostly overwhelmingly adorable. It’s safe to say that Irwin had nothing to worry about in the early days of her daughter’s life — her “Wildlife Warrior” is certainly living up to her name.

Welcoming Grace Into the Irwin Family

Bindi Irwin and her husband, Chandler Powell, welcomed Grace Warrior in March 2021. Incredibly, the couple’s daughter arrived exactly one year after they were married on March 25 in 2020. Of her uncannily timed birth, Irwin wrote, “She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed.”

Grace’s Second Birthday

The Irwin-Powell family recently celebrated Grace’s second birthday with an adorable garden-themed party. Irwin wrote a touching message in honor of her daughter’s big day, calling her “the sunshine that fills our lives.”

“Every day I am amazed by your hundreds of words and smiles, fascination for the natural world/every animal you discover and your adventurous soul. You see wonder in everything and remind me that the world is made of magic,” Irwin shared. “Being your mama is the best part of my life.”

Doting Words From Dad

For his part, Powell wrote to Grace, “You amaze me and your mama every day. From rescuing beetles off sidewalks to spotting birds and climbing trees, you are always up for an adventure.” He added, “I can’t wait to see everything you achieve next.”

Grace’s animal-loving mama had nothing at all to worry about when it came to her daughter inherently loving wildlife — she is an Irwin, after all.
