Kaavia James Gives a Living Room Performance for Her Parents & She’s the Cutest Little Superstar
Kaavia James can’t help that she’s a star — it’s in her blood! The 4-year-old daughter of Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade has the entertaining gene, and we can’t help but be amazed at everything she does. Her latest performance is no exception!
In a new video posted to Kaavia’s Instagram (run by her parents), the toddler puts on a living room performance that she feels with her whole heart. Kaavia is dressed in green leggings and a “girl power” tank top with her hair in a ponytail. She’s singing, “Oh, you gotta let it goooo!” as she twirls around.

She twists, she turn, she moves her hips, and she throws her head back and sings like she’s gunning for a spot on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. At one point, Kaavia turns and attempts a handstand — all without missing a beat. Her performance is truly inspired.
“Best breakup song of 2023. You’re welcome. 🎤” the video was cheekily captioned. “You gotta let it goooooooo!!!!🎶🎵”

Kaavia Loves Singing
It doesn’t matter if she’s in the living room, the car, or anywhere else — Kaavia loves to sing! In Feb. 2023, she donned a pink tutu and leg warmers and danced and sang to “Maniac” from Flashdance.
And in January, she loudly sang/screamed “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys while buckled into her pink car seat on the way to school. That’s definitely an effective way to get pumped for class!

Gabrielle Union Encourages ‘Love & Compassion’ in Parenting
Whether she’s encouraging her daughter Kaavia to sing or supporting her step-daughter Zaya Wade, 15, the Truth Be Told star is all about the love.
““The best parenting advice I’ve been given is to understand that no two journeys are the same, so try to do what’s best for YOU and err on the side of love and compassion cuz we’re all just fumbling our way thru the best way we know how,” Union wrote on Instagram in May 2022.
She added, ““Don’t judge and certainly don’t think that your way is the ONLY way,” she wrote. “Be open to learning and evolving while embracing accountability.”
