Melania Trump is Looking at New Schools for Barron Further South

While it’s really anyone’s guess as to what soon-to-be-ex-president Donald Trump, FLOTUS Melania Trump, and son Barron will be doing circa January 20, 2021 (after all, he still has yet to concede the presidency), hunkering down in/around Mar-a-Lago seems like a solid bet. Trump has, after all, spent a considerable amount of time at the Florida golf club even during his tenure as U.S. President.

And this week, People did what the publication does best: touched base with a few mysterious sources close to the Trump family to get the intel on post-presidential plans, which apparently include home renovations and a new school for Barron.

“Donald’s apartment, which once belonged to Mar-a-Lago estate creator Marjorie Merriweather Post, will be expanded and spruced up,” one source told People. “They are definitely renovating his apartment within the Mar-a-Lago Club to make it larger, more modern and comfortable for his use.”

Meanwhile, another revealed that “Melania is checking out a good Florida school for Barron,” who has attended school in Maryland and New York City so far. “They have looked all over Palm Beach County and neighboring Broward County for just the right place,” this source says. “There are several options, and they will decide soon.” We’ve reached out to the White House for further commentary and will update when we hear back.

This has been quite a year of educational changes for the Trump family, as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner also pulled their children out of school recently, after many years on the same campus. Apparently, this transition happened after classmates’ parents spoke out about the Trump family’s refusal to follow safe COVID-19 protocols. Let’s hope the family has learned their lesson — and that when Melania does select a new school for Barron, he’ll be able to settle in and stay awhile.
