This Is the ONLY Brow Product Instagram Star Yellabambi Uses on Her Brows
Welcome to Five on Five, where we introduce you to the best and brightest accounts within Instagram's vibrant beauty community. In each edition, beauty reporter Devon Abelman asks five Insta-geniuses to answer five questions that reveal their biggest inspirations, must-have products, and more. Prepare your finger, folks — you'll want to hit that follow button real soon.
After featuring five natural hair influencers for a special, themed edition of Five on Five with guest columnist Jihan Forbes, I'm back with my menagerie of colorful Insta beauty accounts. While I passed the reigns over to my fellow Allure editor, I discover the wonders of Ray Kadiri and her signature liner look. Most of her bold makeup includes lines starting from the outer corners of her eyes and slices down to the inner corners. From there, she draws on different shades of liquid liner, adapting her go-to design to her mood at the moment.
British makeup artist Martha Butterworth has been on my radar for a while with her knack for mixing and matching vivid hues and impressively incorporating temporary tattoos in lip art and eye makeup. Bethany a.k.a. @yellabambi, on the other hand, helps affirm my love of color coordination.
Of course, I didn't forget to feature hairstylists this week, too: Jessica Kiyomi proves that curly hair can be dyed technicolor hues without ruining its texture with bleaching, and Kelly O'Leary-Woodford will make you rethink chunky highlights. (Trust me on this one.) Keep scrolling to find out more about all five of the people behind my favorite beauty Instagrams of the moment.
1. Kelly O'Leary-Woodford a.k.a. @hairbymisskellyo
Who she is: The 35-year-old Canadian hair colorist is known for her whimsical pastel dye jobs and chunky rainbow highlights. She says her Instagram feed is an accurate reflection of her personal style. "As much as it is a hair page, it is also a good representation of me," she explains. "I love old movies, past trends and vintage paraphernalia."
Who are your biggest beauty inspirations?
"I love Lady Gaga. I can still watch any old video and wanna jump right into doing a photo shoot. I think she's just an amazing person. Pulp Riot hair owners David and Alexis Thurston, too. They built an empire, completely changing the way things are done in our industry and still are humble and generous. And Miss Ruby, @missrockabillyruby on Instagram, is killing it every day. The attention to detail in her photo shoots is outstanding."

What are your top three must-have beauty products?
"Pulp Riot's Berlin Dry Shampoo because who has time for wash day? The Design Me Dry Me Powder Blowdry In A Flash Mist for keeping my frizzies down, and the Healthy Sexy Hair Surfrider Dry Texture Spray, too. I've been doing the beach-wave look, and it gives me shine while adding texture."

Why is being a part of Instagram's beauty community important to you?
"At first, it was all about being inspired by the beauty that was being created. Now that I have personally met this community, they are the beauty. They push me, drive me, support me, and there is a world of love there. I cannot say it enough. It changed my life."
What beauty trends are you loving right now?
"The 1970s! Shaggy haircuts! Curly bangs! Lots of texture! It's just so fun, and I love big hair."
What Instagram accounts are you most excited about right now?
"@Roxiejanehunt, @pulpriothair, @lunaballooncloud, and @carlbownhair. They cover my four must-haves: creativity, color, cutting and texture; and vintage."
2. Martha Butterworth a.k.a @marthamakeupartist
Who she is: The U.K.-based makeup artist will make you consider gluing miniatures to your face. Her fun looks are like the makeup versions of the dioramas that you made in grade school. She also experiments with color in ways you'll want to bookmark to try when you're feeling adventurous (or just something bold to look at).
Who are your biggest beauty inspirations?
"Pat McGrath is Queen. I adore Helena Christensen’s style, too. She's such a lovely person inside and out."
What are your top three must-have beauty products?
"The L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Mascara is my personal favorite. The PatMcGrath Labs Lip Fetish Lip Balm and a great moisturizer, too."

"I absolutely love what I do and get a kick out of sharing that passion. And of course, I get lots of inspiration, too."

Who she is: The 20-year-old from London has constantly changing neon, curly hair with bright makeup to match. (Right now, it's fuchsia, neon peach, two shades of blue, and seafoam.) Her posts will convince you that there's no such thing as too much color. She describes them as featuring "hair, clothing and makeup styles that steer far away from the norm."

What are your top three must-have beauty products?
"Freckle spray, which is actually L'Oréal Paris Root Cover Up spray, because it can be worn on its own and instantly makes you look awake. Also, a touch of highlight with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Kit. And brow pomade, specifically Anastasia Beverly Hills' Dipbrow, is the only product I will ever use on my brows. You're able to create individual hairs with it, too."
Why is being a part of Instagram's beauty community important to you?
"I am so blessed to have a community of people and followers that support me for being my complete self. Having a community where I am appreciated for being different also brings out this side in many others. My vision is to revolutionize makeup and encourage others to view makeup as the art form that it is."

"It's a Korean makeup trend: gradient lips. I'm obsessed with the look. Also, it's quick and simple to do so it can be done every day."

"@Lavagirl.xo is super creative and so beautiful. I'm hoping to work with her in the future."
4. Ray Kadiri a.k.a. @rayray_kad

Who are your biggest beauty inspirations?
"Me because I execute looks to my satisfaction."
What are your top three must-have beauty products?
"Liner because, well, liner and eyeballs, and its versatility means that I can use it as shadow and brow filler. Gloss, due to its versatility, too. It can be used on lids and to highlight cheeks and lips. Also, highlighter because glowing is always key. It can double as eye shadow and lip topper or a base with gloss over the top."
Why is being a part of Instagram's beauty community important to you?
"I get to help people and empower them through connections made with makeup and beauty."

5. Jessica Kiyomi a.k.a. @jessicakiyomi
