Halle Berry Looks Radiant In Her Latest Makeup-Free Selfie

Halle Berry celebrated her return to work this week with a very-quarantine era photo — a makeup-free selfie. The actor is radiant as she stares straight-to-camera, hiding a smile.

She took the photo from a cozy couch with lots of natural light pouring in, the better for her 6 million followers to see her poreless-seeming skin and bouncy-looking cheeks.

“Officially out of #quarantine, ready to get to work!" she captioned her photo. “Moonfall here I come."

Berry clarified in the comment section that her “#quarantine" wasn't due to illness, but instead necessary for her to begin work on her new film. “I was not sick at all! I had to do a mandatory quarantine to work here in Montreal. Thanks for your concern though,” she wrote to a fan.

Berry is shifting from quarantine mode to movie makeup, which can often involve hours in the chair and continual touch-ups throughout the day. In Moonfall, which comes from the director behind Independence Day and Day After Tomorrow, Berry will reportedly play a former NASA astronaut who jumps to the rescue when Earth is knocked off its orbit and sent hurtling into space.

We love the idea of giving your skin a breather before a time period of heavy makeup-use, and it's even sweeter to see Berry loving herself with no makeup bag in sight.

Back in January, Berry gave a sneak peek of the beauty products she planned to use in 2020, and her list consisted mostly of wellness-oriented products, including two salt soaks by Kismet, an Aesop body cleanser, and Sally Beauty's Warming Foot Scrub. There's no word on whether she stuck to her plans in a year that has certainly defied them, but she certainly looks as though she's keeping self-care a priority during quarantine. Well, that, and the $435 Dr. Dennis Gross LED face mask that she previously called a favorite. No matter what her routine, it's clear that Berry is doing something right — and we hope she keeps that smile as she gets back to work.
