This Sunscreen Sold Out Just THREE Days After Launching in Korea — and It's Coming to the U.S.
Liah Yoo, Korean YouTuber and founder of Krave Beauty, is making major waves in the skin-care world with her latest launch: a now sold-out sunscreen aptly named Beet The Sun. The beauty blogger-turned-entrepreneur is known for creating hit products, like the brand's millennial-friendly Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser, which is also currently sold out — though it's worth noting that Beet The Sun did so in just three days flat.
Yoo has amassed legions of loyal followers over the years, first as a K-beauty influencer and now as the face of her own brand, so it's no surprise the sunscreen sold out so fast. More on the product itself: It contains SPF 47 PA++++, in addition to skin-nourishing ingredients like glycerin and macadamia seed oil, and retails for $20. It's also the newest addition to Krave's Core Series, meaning it's a skin-care product you should be using every day to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Yoo went into more detail on her YouTube channel and explained that she wanted to challenge herself to create a sunscreen that people would truly want to use, regardless of age, skin type, and so on. "We were aiming to make it as pleasant as possible," she says in the video, before offering that the formula is lightweight, non-greasy, and hydrating. She also adds that it wears well under makeup, which is always a plus.

The one caveat? Currently, Beet The Sun is only available in South Korea, although Yoo spilled the beans to Allure that this much-anticipated formula is due to drop in the U.S. this September, so we'll be the first to alert you once it officially launches. In the meantime, tune in to the video below to learn more about the sold-out SPF, so that when it finally does launch stateside, you know exactly what you're getting your hands on — or rather, putting onto your face.
