Starbucks Has a Delicious New Fall Drink & No, We're Not Talking About the PSL

Fall doesn’t begin when the calendar tells us it begins; fall begins when Starbucks unleashes its Pumpkin Spice Latte back out into the wild. That said, the first day of fall is close — very close: Aug. 27. And this year, the PSL celebrates its 16th birthday alongside a handful of other pumpkin- and caramel-flavored drinks and treats, including a brand-new cold brew.

Starting tomorrow, the PSL makes it eagerly anticipated return to Starbucks stores. For those who haven’t had one yet, this top-selling beverage is made with real pumpkin and warm fall spices, including cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, combined with espresso and steamed milk, and finished with whipped cream and a couple shakes of pumpkin spice topping. Customers can also pick up Starbucks’ brand-new pumpkin-flavored, caffeinated drink tomorrow, too: the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.

Pumpkin Cream Bold Brew is Starbucks’ first new pumpkin coffee beverage in 16 years (if you can believe it), and it sounds like perfection (if you’re a fan of pumpkin-flavored drinks, of course). The fall beverage is made with Starbucks Cold Brew and vanilla, finished with pumpkin cream cold foam (also made with real pumpkin) and dusted with pumpkin spice topping. Be quick to order one, though, because this is a limited-edition cold brew that’ll only be available while supplies last.

Also returning to Starbucks tomorrow is another seasonal favorite, the Salted Caramel Mocha. This mocha drink combines mocha toffee nut with espresso and milk, topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle and sprinkled with sea salt sugar topping. As someone who isn’t a fan of the PSL (blasphemy, I know; keep the hisses down), this is a personal favorite. How can anyone possibly resist sea salt caramel?

To really embrace and celebrate the first day of fall, you obviously need to pair that pumpkin- or caramel-flavored beverage with a sweet treat. So pick up a pumpkin cream cheese muffin, which also makes its return tomorrow. Customers can also choose from Starbucks’ pumpkin scone, cat cake pop or pumpkin spice Madeleines.

Short on time but don’t want to miss out? Starbucks has your back. For a limited time, UberEats in select cities will deliver PSLs directly to your doorstep.

If you’re willing to wait a couple of days (or hit up Starbucks twice in one week, which is perfectly acceptable), Starbucks keeps the celebration going with a BOGO deal on handcrafted bevvies. After 3 p.m. that day, swing in to grab two PSLs (or whatever your drink of choice may be) for the price of one.

Happy almost-fall, everyone!
