'Harry Potter'-Inspired Marshmallows Exist Now, and the Flavors Are Out of This World
You don’t have to go to any theme parks or studio tours to get your hands on these new Harry Potter-themed treats!
Chicago-based gourmet marshmallow store XO Marshmallow has created a limited edition “Sorting Hat Gift Set” of four different marshmallow flavors inspired by the four different Hogwarts houses. These colorful marshmallow treats, with their creative experimental flavors, definitely fit right in at the Honeydukes candy store, right next to Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans.
The unique flavors include Sriracha Honey for Gryffindor—an unusual hot and sweet combo that’s “for the courageous and determined.” It’s made out of real honey, and real Sriracha sauce, so it’s definitely for adventurous tastebuds.
For house Hufflepuff, known for its friendliness and dedication, the small candy company decided to go with a Turmeric Orange flavor for a slightly savory sunshine-y feel. “Perfect for those who are patient and loyal,”the company explains.
The Sorting Hat collection’s Blackberry Brown Butter flavor is meant to represent the intellectual students of Ravenclaw, with its combination of toasty brown butter and tart blackberries.
And, lastly, the company’s appropriately named Wicked Pickle flavor is for the notorious Slytherins. It’s super tart, but with a hint of sweetness, probably because Slytherins aren’t all that bad. These green squares are made with actual dill pickle juice and sugar for a flavor that you just have to try.
The “Sorting Hat” flavors are only available this month, so if you want to try these Harry Potter mallows, you better whip out your wand and say “Accio mallow!” Or, you know, just click add to cart and whip out your card. Whatever works.
