It's the one day of the year when you can get free doughnuts
The day has finally come: It’s National Doughnut Day, y’all! And you know what that means — free doughnuts.
But before we get into all the deals and specials, we have to talk about what Papa John’s is doing this glorious day. (Bet you weren’t expecting that, right? Us, either.)
You may know the pizza chain has quite the dessert menu — double chocolate chip brownies, cinnamon pull-aparts and more — but they’re going all out this National Doughnut Day, adding doughnut holes to their already impressive lineup of sweet treats. For a limited time this summer (that’s right, it’s more than just a one-day deal), you can grab yourself a serving of cinnamon-sugar-coated treats stuffed with caramel crème.
You’re probably asking: But are they free? Not exactly. Order any pizza online today, and you’ll get an order of the doughnut holes free of charge. Then, on June 2, if you order two pizzas, pop in the promo code DONUT and get a free order that way too. Or, you can buy them at $4.99 for an order of 10. Not bad.
That’s not all, though. If you order doughnut holes online or through Papa John’s app, you’ll be automatically entered into Papa John’s Dreaming of Donuts Island Getaway Sweepstakes. If you’re the lucky winner, you’ll score a free eight-day, seven-night vacation to Donut Island in New Zealand — an island that’s actually shaped like a doughnut.

Walmart: Yep, Walmart’s getting in on the action, giving away 1.2 million full-size doughnuts today. All you have to do is show up.
Cumberland Farms: Buy any “dispensed beverage” between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. and get a free doughnut. Be sure to get there on time!
Shipley Do-Nuts: Get a free glazed doughnut with any purchase.
LaMar’s Donuts: Print out this golden ticket and get a free doughnut.
Edible Arrangements: Not a huge fan of doughnuts but want something free anyway? Grab free Edible Donuts — fresh apples cut like a doughnut and dipped in chocolate — at any of the Edible Arrangements stores.
Entenmann’s Bakery: If you’re in the Times Square area, grab a free doughnut from Entenmann’s Bakery today. They’re also hosting a contest in which doughnut fanatics can become “Chief Donut Officer” and win free Entenmann’s for a year.
Fractured Prune Doughnuts: Today only, grab a free OC sand doughnut from any Fractured Prune Doughnuts location.
Stan’s Donuts & Coffee: In Chicago? Good; listen up. The first 100 visitors to the Wicker Park location will get a half-dozen glazed doughnuts for free. Then, starting at 6:30 a.m., get a free glazed doughnut with any purchase at any Stan’s Donuts & Coffee location.
